Today we were planning to celebrate Doonsie's 15th birthday! Well, we are still going to celebrate - but we are off by one day as yesterday was the 15th rather than today (how time flies when you are not paying attention <g>). Despite his age and a murmur, he is in pretty good shape for an old boy - no meds for his heart and and a tablet of Glyco-Flex seems to be enough to help with the stiffness he occasionally has. He still enjoys chasing balls and girls (think he likes the girls better!).
Doonsie came to us the fall of 1992. We have 3 of his offspring and several grand kids. He has always been a true gentleman, very well behaved in the house and sweet with his ladies. Until recently he absolutely adored playing with puppies, but now prefers not to be climbed upon, tugged at or chewed upon.... For those of you intrested in "longevity" pedigrees, his sire was Can CH Laughing Blythe Spirit (Can CH Birdseye of Amantra x Eng CH Belhurst Carole of Homerbrent) and his dam was Honeycott Amethyst (CKCSC & Can CH Rocky Racoon of Wyndcrest x Chanctonbury Honeymoon). We would be most interested to hear about any of his relatives.
