Hello, A man in my town turned two 7 month old German Shepherds into the local Animal control shelter. He said they were ones from his last litter that he could not sell.
I remember hearing that if one turned in an animal to animal control they would no longer be eligible to register with the AKC. I have looked on the AKC wed site and have not had a great deal of success navigating it. One of the people at the shelter is very interested to find out what the rule is.
