It's a good question - but can I just say that one of my greatest fears in life is that I'm going to sell a puppy to someone who seems perfectly reasonable, has all the right answers (or most of them) to the questions I ask, gives me all the reassurances I look for, and then turns out to have been lying through their teeth simply to get what they want ... you can be as careful as you like, and people can still deceive you. I always hope I'll get the little sixth sense about the situation, but you can never be sure. I have sold to people who I personally dislike, but who I know will look after the dog properly - and refused people I personally like because I know they'd be hopeless ...
