Tried that Cathy and it didn't work on this computer, but then I have had to
do total restores many times on this computer as the online college courses
conflicted with this particular setup. Microsoft does some funky things
about files to make sure that they are not pirated and many of these things
make it very hard for the registered user to restore their system. I've even
had to phone Microsoft to get a special code number so I could reinstall
Office 2000.

I really like this HP Pavillion, but the basic system setup for all the
software that came preinstalled is all on one "restore" disk and restoring
wipes out a lot of my files and settings that I added later. I can't go to
the system restore disk and get just one .exe file. It was much easier for
me to find the program on the web and download it into the command folder.
All the best,
Susan Cochran
