Only had cabbage in Rosemary if you bought a bad of veg with the veg already
diced
Did you ever have sliced potatoes layered with onion  then more potato and
topped off with streaky bacon and plenty of seasoning? Simmered on the top
of the stove. Another cheap and tasty meal!!
