Hello List! First let me say THANK YOU!!! for all of the wonderful emails welcoming me to the list. I can see already that I've come to the right place & plan on answering each of you indiviually after the boss clears out for the day. <VBG>
As for cavaliers & boxers thread, all I can say is so far so good. Flynn being raised with Stephanie & David's boxers have led him to believe that he too is a boxer. And it is the most adorable thing because our boxers think he's really got the potential to be a boxer. My husband & I are keeping him away from mirrors as to not break his heart. LOL! Of course, we have to monitor the outside play because of the vast difference in size...but we have always kept an eye out when it was just the boxers, so it's no problem. It took about 48 hours for them to become adjusted to the concept of "look before you step" but they have welcomed him right into the fold. My two bitches really like him, but it seems that my 12 month old male boxer has really taken to him...lets him "hoover" the floor around his raised feeder as he eats, shares all his toys, & lets him sniff lick & chew any (& I mean any) part of his anatomy with great gusto. Flynn has discovered that "spooning" the big boy can be quite warm & often the two will be curled up on the same dog bed in the living room floor. Now I can tell you...if they are all like this...sign me up for another half dozen. Truly a remarkable breed. Flynn has absolutely no fear & has just the most amazing personality. Stephanie said that they are just big dogs in a little dog's body & I'm a believer! Thanks again to all of you for making me feel so welcome!!!
