Hello, My little cavalier boy has a particular problem that I have not seen discussed as yet on this board, and I know someone (or several someones) must know something to address this issue:
Tory has a rank odor from the saliva around his mouth. His teeth and gums are in excellent condition and I brush using doggie paste, vet recommended -- but not often as he really does not have build up. He eats Eukanuba small dog formula kibble, supplemented with some wet food (a spoon full mixed in) -- his health and coat look great, his bowels are normal, he's happy as a lark, he's mostly indoors except for piddling and pooping outside and on sunny days, being on the back patio with our other dog for a bit, but --- his kisses just are NOT sweet. I have sniffed and sniffed and narrowed it down to this: his mouth (tongue, teeth, palate) smell fine, but the problem seems to tem from the saliva on his lips -- yuk! Its sortof a sour, rancid smell. Is there something homeopathic or natural I can add to his water etc to remedy this situation?
