Laura, I have a Hale Security Pet Door and think it's wonderful! I have one that is put in through a wall, and I can stand in front of it when it's freezing outside and not feel any cold air. They make them for doors, walls, french doors, and sliding glass doors. It's expensive, but it really is wonderful if the door is going into a living area where you need to save your heat and air. It also is very unobtrusive looking. Most people who come in my home have no idea that it's there.
