Sandra,

I am sorry to hear of the loss in your family. You are right though, 92 wonderful
years. Your post reminded me that it never hurts to ask if a family pet is allowed to
visit the hospital. My Dad was in the hospital for 7 weeks in the spring and we asked
that we might bring his Cocker Spaniel to visit to help him out of his drug induced
(hospital prescribed) haze. The staff did not even blink. They said, "yes, of course.
We would want our dogs here." So Domino visited every day for two weeks. She would
hop on the bed and lay there till the visit ended. She is very well behaved, and we
just hoped no one would get close enough to smell her body wide yeast infection which
makes for a very smelly dog. (we were treating the yeast infection) Both dog and
patient benefited greatly.

Prayers to all
Jan Rinker
