Hi Glenn, Yes, 1/2 cup of food per day is adequate for Charlie --- I have a 21 lb male (he is over standard - can feel his ribs easily at 21 lbs) who would like to weigh 27 lbs, if left to his own devices but ALL he get is three sections of a Canidae biscuit in the A.M. and a SCANT 1/2 cup of Canidae with a few raw ad-ins such as chicken gizzards etc., and one tablespoon finely minced veggies with garlic (done in a Mini Chop by Cuisenart). Because I also feed raw, there are some days when he gets three chicken necks with his veggie mix and a scoop of Norwegian Kelp and Missing Link. ANY more food than this and he would be well on his way to a weight problem. My bitches who are 16lbs and 15.5 lbs, get less than this.
