Cheryl, I don't think you have anything to worry about as 6 months intervals is only an average period between seasons. One of my bitches goes 8/9 months as did her mother before her while I have another who comes on heat every 4.5 /5 months. I have noticed over the years that my Wholecolours are more erratic coming on heat and often went 9/10 months whereas some of the Blenheims were as regular as clockwork, has anyone else found this with Wholecolours?. One thing I have noticed is that when you want to mate a bitch at a time that is convenient she never obliges coming on heat when you want! nature likes to throw a spanner in the works.just to keep us on our toes!!
