Hi!
My vet used to tolerate my request to not give Lepto. <vbg> :o)

But, he is seeing so much of it lately that he strongly urged me to
reconsider. He even characterized the number of cases of Lepto he's started
to see as an epidemic. He had such a severe case at his practice that all
the humans at the animal hospital had to be innoculated (four vets and the
entire staff) as well as the owners of the dog. He said the old shot only
covered 2 of 5 different strains of Lepto but the new shot covers 5 of 7. He
commented that the biggest problem is that so many people opt to not give
Lepto that when it does make its rounds it spreads quickly!

Needless to say I gave the last two Cavaliers Lepto at their annual
check-ups. They suffered no adverse effects.
