UKC is a very old, respected field trial club. The dogs are bred for working ability as opposed to conformation. Well, that was how it used to be, don't know now as a few breeds have started using UKC for papers when they can't get into the AKC. I would be leery of any Cavalier that is UKC registered unless it is also registered with either the CKCSC or the AKC. The reason being that a UKC only Cavalier breeder would be shut out from the two major gene pools in the US. I can't think of any reason for a reputiable breeder to knowingly cut themselves off from both major gene pools.
