I have to agree with Linda on the incidence of swimmer puppies. In twenty
years and numerous litters I've only had two swimmer pups and both were in
litters of five or more. With a few days rest on a deep soft foam cushion and
a bit of hobbling both puppies quickly returned to a normal state and one
grew up to be the mother of the BOW at the first AKC National. That
particular girl is now 13 and going strong.
