They weren't even all cavaliers. Cavaliers are not the only breed that get swimmers. They were certainly fed the same food as they were all nursing puppies. No, not related and not in the same time span. I saw my first swimmer thirty years ago. They are certainly common enough that most, although not all, breeding and whelping books have a section on swimmer puppies. They will frequently "fix" themselves given time. Myra Savant
