Greeting List Members... I was taken back by the email stating that breeders on this list "closed minded and resistance for growth"...stating they are "putting down" others that advocate new approaches...etc
Well the question is...isn't it a put down by labeling others as "closed minded and resistance for growth"??? Is this a two edge sword??? I guess when I was reading the posts, I was not seeing "close-minded and a strong resistance" but healthy discussion!!! Each test has its sensitivity and specificity value...and must be used for those specific DX purposes...and some of these values and/or results are complex and inconclusive. Each of us, better go and reread the posts...and pinpoint those breeders on this list that does not desire to learn and improve this beloved breed! I have not witness this in any discussion on this list!!! I do agree that to generate labels or "put down" does not serves any purpose. Some countries use defensive medicine...some do not...there are strong cultural differences and bias. I try to understand and respect the differences... This list should be an OPEN opportunity for discussions without judgments. We can all learn from one another... I truly enjoy reading the views of others across the pond or down under!!! As far as the United Nations comment...each individual should be accountable for generating "peace and harmony" in a group activity... that is what make us civilized!!!
