That was what I tried to believe at first, BUT when the message came in, I was sitting here with a non-doggy friend talking (that was why my computer was on-line--so the phone wouldn't keep ringing). She doesn't know anyone or anything about this list--yet her mouth dropped when she saw the post. That was about as objective of a response as I could have gotten. Then it was repeated a second time and the private e-mails came flowing in from others telling me that was not what they thought either. Once you have several others telling you they are aghast--then you start to believe otherwise. If it was meant in jest--then MUCH more care will need to be taken next time. So far NO one who responded to me thought it was meant in jest or funny--they thought it was nasty and told me so. So if the intent was to be funny--it failed. Also there is nothing wrong with my 23 year old son that isn't wrong with most 23 year old boys today--most take a lot longer to grow up than they used to. They seem to enjoy the fun of acting like a teenager. Jesse doesn't drink excessively, smoke, do drugs or get in trouble with the law, plus he has a very good job, so I am luckier than many. No doubt though he makes breeding, showing and taking care of dogs feel MUCH easier than raising kids.
