In September last year I lost my CKCSC Ch. Chadwick Theatrical Trilogy "Fife" at
two months shy of 15 yrs. Her heart was cleared by a cardiologist at about 14
plus years. She simply died of old age. For those who attended the November
2000 CNE Show will recall her 14th Birthday party, cake and all, and she almost
set herself alight from the candles in her effort to eat the cake!!

Fife's brother died at 14 1/2 yrs and the rest of the litter are still around.
Sharona Resnick's Jelly Bean was her half sister, both sired by CKCSC Ch.
Chadwick Great Balls of Fire "Baggins" who was owned by Denise Quittmeyer. He
died at 12 yrs of throat cancer. Fife and Jelly Bean were both primarily of
Maxholt breeding -- those Maxholts certainly lived a very long life.

All I can say is this: no matter what age you lose your dog, it is hard, but it
is a WHOLE lot harder losing them at a young age than at 12 years and above.
