I'm not disagreeing that kneeling to stack your dog is a bad thing. It is.
What I'm saying is that kneeling to stack your dog is not presenting an
altogether different dog to the judge. Bleaching the 50 freckles on the
muzzle and the ticking on the legs, dying the back to present a prettier top
line, blackening the nose to hide a flaw, and trimming the dog does present
a different dog to the judge than the one who really exists. The judge's
job is to award a win to the best in the ring......but with all the
bleaching, dying etc. that is going on, how can a judge tell which dog
really is the best of the dogs presented? Myra Savant
