Cathy,

You know that Makes perfect sense. A dog which is straight in shoulder and
lacking angulation in the rear though not attractive standing can look
lovely on the move and hold itself together. However a straght shoulder and
a lovely angulated rear may look pretty standing there but the dog falls
apart on the move. It is all checks and balances.

Balance is simply that. Front and rear must be balanced. Unfortunately it is
usually easier to breed upright shoulders!
