Don't breeders know it!  We used to breed purebred cats and show them in
CFA over half the country.  When we sold our kittens for $400. (Average
litter, 3-4 at most), average # of litters per year 3-4, then you have
to consider the cost of entering a show $65 for some, double cages,
hotel rooms in New Jersey, etc. etc. vet bills, best of food, etc...
AND PEOPLE DARE TO ASK IF YOU MAKE MONEY!!!!!
