For Heaven's sakes, people--If we are going to talk about the Garden
can't we talk about something other than whether or not a handler
touched her knee to the floor? I was lucky to atttend and see a great
many fine dogs, some of them amateur handled, and many of them
recognized either by the judge and/or the gallery. It was a lovely
gathering--I believe there were 34 entered and 27 present.
It was particularly interesting to me to see many
"dyed-in-the-wool" dog people--respected breeders and judges, 3-deep
around the ring. Many came by the benching to get a good close look at
the dogs. Say what you will about politics, overcrowding, and NYC
expenses---there is real "magic" at the Garden.
