I don't do this anymore. I think over the judging and either it was fair or
it was not, whether my dog won or lost. I see very little unfair judging.
When I was first "in dogs", I used to see a lot more. Now, I see
un-knowledgeable judging of Cavaliers about a third of the time. I see a lot
of judging where the judge has to choose his or her best dogs from a mostly
mediocre bunch, and that is NOT the judge's fault at all. And occasionally
I see out-and-out "political" placing and it is VERY important that we all
remember these particular group of judges and NEVER EVER give them another
entry!

Buy a catalog at the show and make your comments in it and keep the catalog
as a reference. Until you remember who the judges are that you do and do
not like, buying a catalog at the show is a "must" in light of the fact that
your computer skills are not up to speed. If you are really unhappy with
the way the breed was judged, write to the AKC Judges' Education Department.
Tell them what you didn't like and about which judge and at which show.
Judges get to read this stuff. Your comments can and sometimes DO make a
difference!
