You can also access infodog and look up what certain judges did in the past.
Because professional handlers aren't always listed it can sometimes be hard
to tell for certain if a judge is political but it works well much of the
time. As for finding judges that lack knowledge or those that put up
altered dogs that is a lot harder unless you know what the majority of the
dogs entered look like and/or if that owner or handler is the type that does
everything they can to get a win. But it sometimes can help.

I'm a lot like Myra. I keep forgetting to write down which judges did what.
I started my own book and was pretty good keeping at it for about 6 months
then never wrote in it again. A little bit of the reason may have been
because I soon found out that most judges really did not know what they were
doing. They didn't have enough experience with Cavaliers to know what good
Cavalier type was. And I'm definitely guilty of winning (or not) and having
NO idea who the judge was! I find it very hard to focus on who is who and
who does what when it really shouldn't matter. I KNOW it does, but it
shouldn't.

And for some reason it never occurred to me before that I was *supporting*
some of these less desirable judges by ignorantly entering under them. I
will have to be more careful in the future--if I can ever figure out which
ones not to support!
