Myra you reminded me.  About 20 years ago i used to show Old English
Sheepdogs.  We use to use cornstarch in the whites. It was not unusual at a
specialty to see the grooming tent enveloped in a white cloud! or see a dog
rambling down the ring in puffs of smoke.  That was 20 years ago.  Judging
from what I saw at Westminster this year the breed has graduated to the
ridiculous.  I haven't seen so much teased hair since watching all those
Sandra Dee movies.  That once "Shaggy Dog" is being turned into a Poodle.
This is what happens when judges overlook the standard and popular, political
opinion takes over.  Of course, the Standard remains the same, only the dogs
are different.
