Hi, Pam,
I have used Fastrack (the tube/paste) on my show dogs beginning a day
or so before they go to a show and continuing afterwards for a four to
five day course. In one instance, I brought two dogs to the same
show......one had been dosed with Fastrack and one had not. The one who
had not came home with diarrhea that lasted ten days on and off. Now I
use it on every dog who goes out to show or be with other dogs or in any
other stressful situation.
I'll also use it on puppies when its time to wean.
I don't think it is a panacea, but I do think it is a leg up on helping
the gut fight off nasty bugs. I really prefer it to the idea of once in
a while antibiotics.
