Suze,

You are a godsend. Of course as soon as I arrived back home with your
basket for everyone and everything, the Fastrack Gel was on my porch. Kit
must have read fed ex the riot act and they delivered on Sat.

The snuggle pup is incredible - I have photos of them. The little girl
took to it right away and the heartbeat inside seemed to give her comfort.
She positioned herself right on top of it.

Hilda has starting eating and it must be due to the Red Barn that you
packed inside. For the first time, she ate breakfast this AM and her
complete dinner last night She is very lethargic and still is not the best
at remaining with the puppies as they nurse. We started taking her out
with the puppy and placing them on the bed. In this fashion we could keep
the puppy on longer. I feel with Hilda getting up constantly that she was
not getting enough milk. We started doing that Sat on an hourly basis
after we came home from the vet. She is heading in the right direction,
still very small but he said not to celebrate yet. She is still in guarded
condition and time will tell what the outcome will be. She seemed to have
some focal seizures yesterday. Victor is at the vet this am dropping off
our ET bitch to be spayed and he will consult with her about the seizures.

We do have a lot of experience in this area since one of our Cavaliers
does have epilepsy and I wrote about her success story in the NE newsletter
last year. If this is the case, with this little girl, I feel more
confident that we will know which approach to take. I mentioned to you
that she was quite active, not being able to sleep or settle for long
periods of time, she also has the shakes which could be more of the focal
seizures. Since we brought the snugglepup home she seems to be more at
peace. She could be sleeping longer periods of time also because of the
added feedings. But whatever the outcome, we have come this far and are
here for the long haul. We are cautiously optimistic.

I appreciate your help and the trip to meet me. It was a quick visit and
one that I was sorry we had to take. Your warmth, understanding and
concern only reinforce my opinion of the breeders posting to the list.

Sharona

PS.

I wanted to mention Kit's assistance. When the Fastrack Gel did not arrive
as scheduled she went on a mission to find some for me which is what led me
to Suze. Kit was as concerned for the puppy's well being as I was and did
not stop until she was sure that I was on the "right" track.
