I think that if people especially well known people in the breed chose to
ignore protocol, rules, or standards for the sake of a win they should get as
much negative press as possible especially in breed specific forums like
this. After all the type of person who forsakes rules, protocol, and/or the
best interest of the breed for the sake of a win is usually one who is
desperate for the attention and noteriety the win may bring. Being known for
doing something frowned upon in the breed may actually be the kind of peer
pressure needed to correct some of these negative trends that will only lead
to more serious infringments in the future.

As for cowardly my rule is don't post anything you wouldn't be willing to
repeat in person to anyone. My bet is that negative things written on this
list about people get sent via private mail to the subject of the discussion
probably faster then if you had sent it directly in most cases.

I think in most cases people don't get all that nasty, they just refuse to
turn a blind eye and pretend things they are concerned about aren't
happening. To maintain improvement and quality people must be willing to
discuss anything and everything openly.
