  I think this whole discussion is really about showing cavaliers naturally so
  that their charm and character can be seen.  I agree with this.  But, as long
  as the handler is not molding and posing, chucking up the topline, stringing
  up the head, etc.  I think that he should not be castigated if he finds it
  necessary to kneel on occasion to reassure or just briefly commune with his
  dog.

  We all want to see the cavalier remain a natural breed, but let's not get
  carried away and become cruel to those who find reasons to do what they think
  is best and, consequently don't do everything that you think is right. That's
  called bigotry...a label no one should like to have attached to themselves.

  The letter Jeanie wrote to the judges' list was perfect and definitely should
  not hurt anyone's feelings but should be a help to judges in directing their
  rings.  This is positive action.
