Hi Linda I am stunned to learn the vet checks carried out prior to your dog's departure did not pick this up. Surely they took the dogs temperature and checked for 'wellness and good health'?? What are the veterinary/agriculture/ requirements for export from UK to USA? To send a dog from here to USA requires a very basic health certificate.
Shelley Walker Redcrest Cavaliers Auckland,NZ Website http://www.geocities.com/redcrest2002 <<< I knew before he left the UK that he was not inoculated and as soon as I took him out of his crate upon arrival to the US I saw there was something wrong. I had my vet draw blood and do a full panel before he was given any inoculations here. The results came back exposure to distemper. I could have just place him back on a plane and send him back to the breeder who "saw nothing wrong with him". I couldn't do that considering he would have to be placed into quarantine. >>> ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
