Hi, Claudia,
Everyone has ideals for which they breed besides the things we "worry"
about. Most of my dogs will bark at something and I wouldn't want it
any other way, they ARE dogs......but for the obsessive-compulsive
barker (or for that matter any obsessive compulsive behavior that
couldn't be treated) I would and have sacrificed breeding an otherwise
nice enough dog. It has been documented that OCD is genetic and I don't
want to have to deal with it if possible.
I'm not saying that everyone should feel as I do......for instance I
know someone who breeds Cavaliers who takes into consideration whether
or not a dog has chronic eye staining; for me unless this was a medical
condition I wouldn't take that into consideration. (Some are just more
sensitive and allergic).

So, all I am saying is that this is something which *I* take into
consideration. Temperament is a big issue with me.

Best,

Suze
