I'm not sure this is correct, especially for handlers new to the breed. I
know that the handler that has shown my boxers for years and also shows many
other breeds, including bostons, did not know that Cavaliers were not to be
shown kneeling.  When I had her play with my puppy at a show a few months
ago, she got on her knees to stack him - I told her this was not allowed in
the breed and why. I then showed her how he has been trained to free bait
and she was fine with that. I know that if I ever have to have her show my
dog, she will do it correctly.
