I've used both these products for two years. I don't see an appreciable difference in its use in their drinking water but the gel, applied to teeth and gums via a soft gauze wrapped finger is soothing to my old girls' gums and this stuff actually loosens the plaque on the young dogs' teeth. Joanne, it's no longer a "commie plot" to have chlorination! LOL! feel free to use the gel...it's really excellent!
