I'm not sure how this would work if all the "typey" Cavaliers had bad
rears or fronts? So, then we reward the gorgeous head, good temperament
and looks, but possibly remove all the best moving specimens first?
With due respect to Mrs. Clark, I'm seeing too many unsound but pretty
dogs winning. I'd like to think that the ability to see movement was
reflexive in judging and that the first cut was made with all things in
mind. If the ability to see movement IS so reflexive that anyone can do
it, than why are so many lineups looking unsound even standing still?
Perhaps this isn't as true in many breeds; but in Cavaliers we do have
problems with lots of BAD cowhocks, fronts, etc. Those things won't get
fixed if rewarded.
I think that "anyone" can also find a pretty and unsound
dog...................
