I agree that one of the keys to beautiful movement is balance however I
believe the key to reach is a very well angulated upper arm.  Well laid
back shoulders is always an interesting topic--most will agree that  a
45 degree angle to the shoulder would be preferred but that does not
usually occur--30 to 35 is the more usual---however this degree of
shoulder angulation combined with a well angulated upper arm  makes for
a good mover  --the reverse does not.            Janet  Dalton
