As a point of interest, in most countries the law of copyright states
that a "work made for hire" such as a website designed for someone else
is owned by the person who paid for the work to be done ABSENT an
agreement to the contrary. So, if this was a website that you designed,
you should be sure to specify when you retain copyright interest and put
that in writing. In most cases, that copyright is what the owner of the
website is buying....sort of like a corporate I.D. so it is unusual for
someone to pay for such work and want to give it up.
However, there are always exceptions.
In the case of dog photography, some of ours specify that although the
copyright remains with the photographer, it may be used in print and web
site advertising.
