Hi Everyone, I just joined this list and wanted to introduce myself to the group. I am a new owner of a Cavalier puppy who we are hoping to begin showing this summer. My mother and I breed Toy Manchester Terriers and my mother also has one or two Lhasa Apsos but I decided I wanted to branch out into showing a new breed of my own so acquired a Cavalier puppy from Susan Chase in New Brunswick.
I have attached some photos of the new baby at just about 8 weeks, her name is "Bijou" (Kalamor's Bejeweled 'N Be Dazzled) and she is out of Coralaw Mischief and Ch. Ricksbury's Royal Avenger. I have been trying to get some information up about her on our web site however my computer is not currently cooperating. I look forward to learning about this breed from the group and am especially interested in any grooming tips you may have (I am trying desperately to resist the urge to trim those feet!). Incidentally, we do travel back and forth to shows in the U.S. fairly regularly and will be attending the Peach Blossom Cluster in Georgia in a few weeks for the American Manchester Terrier National Specialty. I noted that there is a regional CKCS specialty which I will definitely make plans to watch. As the puppy is still young we don't want to leave her home at the mercy of our dog sitter (who will already have 3 dogs to watch) so she will be coming with us.
