Well....have you ever listened to pet owners call the person who bred their dog "MY breeder"? There is a special relationship that develops between a good breeder and a pet owner, (LOVE getting Christmas cards <G>) and the relationship inspires trust. So, if "your" breeder advised that such and such new change to the rules or standard was "for the good of the breed" you would most likely trust their judgment.
It is a powerful thing when a breeder has many pet owners who "agree" with them. Some will actually agree with the breeder's viewpoint as they follow the breed and the ups and downs of the club as some do on this list, but some will agree blindly and en masse.
