<Would this indicate that it is only dangerous if you put them back on wet floors do you think? I've always used Clorox bleach mixed with water to quite a strong solution for the dogs runs and puppy quarters with no ill effects.>
Chris, I would think it was only the fumes that were dangerous. After the Clorox dries, there are no fumes. When I put my new floors down recently, I pulled the carpet myself, cleaned the sub-floors with Clorox (no pets in the house), sealed the areas that had been pottied on in the past with BIN sealer, and then had the new floors professionally installed. The fumes were very bad with both the Clorox and the sealer, and I was glad it was a pretty evening and the doors and windows could be open. After everything dried, there were no fumes at all. If there is a reason not to use Clorox other than the fumes, I would be interested, too.
