No actually if you pour bleach on dry urine it mixes to make a gas. If the floor
is dry and they pee on it then what ever amount of chorine and ammonia there is
will make the gas it may not be enough for you to notice but it will be in the
air in the dog room. I only use bleach out side now as I just about done myself
in helping a friend clean rabbit pens. Her husband gave me bleach solution to
pour in the trays I was bending over the trays the gas hit me and just about put
me out in a red hot second. It is very dangerous to mix those two together. No
one does my patio when I go away so when it has been a few days since I have
bleached it I spay it down with a gallon of bleach with the dry urine on there
on a hot summer day and you can just see the fumes cloud up and rise in the air.
If there are enough fumes it can hurt you even out side. so if you put your dogs
back in the run before the bleach dries there are still fumes coming from the
concrete which can cause eye damage and tear staining. OH goodness I guess that
could be a good excuse for tear stains... OH gee he never had them before I used
that bleach in his crate. LOL

I don't use bleach in the crates I mix up dish washing detergent and spray them
down then wipe them out the liquid dish washing detergent cleans them up like
brand new. I then hose them down let them dry in the sun and bring them back in.

Seriously be careful with bleach around the dogs there are plenty of other
things less harmful but not as cheap that can be used.

Thanks
Cathy
