He soak his feet in formaldehyde and it almost killed
him...however his feet never perspired after that and it did
kill the jungle rot.
Karen -- It's a wonder his feet didn't fall off! I'm sure that the
formaldehyde "killed off" his sweat glands. It's AWFUL stuff. I remember
being exposed to it during biology class when we did dissections (the worst
one was the "pickled" dog....but I DID learn canine anatomy). If we didn't
wear gloves our hands would hurt for days...not to mention the fumes on our
lungs even in a vented space.
I can't imagine soaking the feet of little dogs in it....this must be
a very very old remedy and hopefully no one would even use it today.
