I think the most important thing about the raw diet is learning as much
about the diet as you can before you start it. There are great books that
are easy to get.
I will tell you a sad story about a rescue I took in a few months ago.
She was 18 months old and in her second home, that's another story! The
person I got the dog from said she was on a raw diet and very proud of the
fact she had gone to all the trouble to make it. As it turned out it was
cooked liver and macaroni. That's all folks!
The story has a happy ending, the pup is now living with a wonderful
couple and being properly cared for and loved very much. They have another
Cavalier so she has everything and is very happy.
