I hope it's ok to ask this question on the list. If not, I apologize, but
I'm trying to help someone and I trust the members of this list.
I have neighbors who are looking for a 2nd Cavalier - they would like to
find a *male ruby* puppy. They are a lovely young couple (personable,
bright, well-educated), not planning to have kids for some years, and have a
sweet young spayed female tri. This tri was given to them by the husband's
parents overseas and they didn't have a clue how to start looking for a
Cavalier here. Of course they started out looking on the internet, but when
I heard about the places they had found I put that to rest... We've had a
number of conversations and they are *delightfully* receptive to being
educated! I've already supplied information (and websites) re the 2 clubs,
info on health issues, etc. And I will continue to be available to them (as
advisor and playdate-arranger!) before and after they find their next puppy.
I'm bringing this to the list because the prospect of their emailing each
breeder, one by one, that they find on the club websites, seems enormously
time-consuming and could get discouraging. (No, they're not saying they
want their puppy yesterday! But the husband is now graduating from business
school and won't be starting his job til fall, so they're hoping that both
of them will be able to enjoy lots of free time with a puppy starting
sometime during the next few months.)
I'd be glad to answer questions about them and would supply their email
address/phone # if requested. If anyone is willing to supply me with any
leads or suggestions, please email me privately at [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
        Thanks for reading!!
        Alida
