Jan,

Hi, I have fed BARF for 2 1/2 years now, it's really the only thing my
Berkeley has known except for a couple of months I went to kibble due to
moving and not able to get necks - went back on BARF as he put on weight too
easily on kibble and his coat started to look shabby, he got tarter build up
as well and he itched all the time - and this was a high grade kibble
(california natural).

He gets primarily chicken necks with each AM meal and on every other day he
gets a meat/vegi mixture in the PM and the opposite he gets chicken necks.
one of the meat mixture meals per week includes a raw egg and another one
includes some chicken livers and or organ meat. I supplement the meals with
a vitamin B complex and C (AM and PM), one meal he gets an Omega 3/6/9 oil
added and he gets Vit. E about 3x a week. I also add Prozyme to each meal
(assists with protein absorption). I semi fast him on Sundays - he gets a
raw beef marrow bone only and maybe some table scraps if any leftovers. For
a real treat if I fix a rack of lamb - he always gets one chop raw!

I would highly recommend getting Ian Billinghurst book, Give your dog a bone,
and there are others out there as well.

Glenda
