I just received a tearful phone call from my Assistant who is returning from
a visit to an emergency clinic. Her Doberman was not breathing properly so
she rushed her to the vet who said she has arrhythmia and there is nothing
that can be done for her and she will probably die though if she wants she
can take her to a cardiologist. I certainly think she should, but would like
to know what you think the prognosis is? This poor woman lost her husband to
a rare form of cancer at age 41 and loves this dog desperately. I think she
is about 5 or 6 years old.
Do I remember correctly reading something not too long ago about pace-makers
for dogs?
Suggestions? Information?
Thanks so much,
Phyllis
