Because you put your name on a Code of Ethics when you joined the CKCSC, USA
that said you wouldn't. Whether or not it is in the best interest of the
breed is a moot point. I'm one of those people that believes that one's word
is their bond. Once anyone signs their name to a piece of paper, they should
live up to it, like it or not. If a member doesn't believe in the Code of
Ethics that they said they would uphold as part of membership into a Club,
then my opinion is that they should resign their membership.

Do I believe that the breeding restrictions on the Code of Ethics in regards
to AKC dogs is in the best interest of the breed as a whole? Absolutely not.
But my name is on the copy I signed and, as such, I will live up to my word.
If I find that I can no longer do that, I will resign my membership.

To me Myra, signing the Code of Ethics and having no intentions of living up
to it is no different that a puppy person signing a spay neuter agreement
with a breeder upon purchasing a puppy with every intention of breeding the
dog anyway.

JMHO, yours may be different.
