Cheryl, I can help you with this question. A couple of years ago, we helped to rehome a little girl who had clearly come from a puppy mill in Ireland. She was registered with the kennel club there, but for the first several generations, there were no affixes named in the dog's names. The names were things like Sweet Petunia, and Golden Boy, etc. Several generations back were known English affixes. She had been imported into the states by a broker, David Moore, who is well known around these parts. She was easily registered with the old club as well as AKC. Her Irish Kennel Club registrations were in order even though it was clear that she was a puppy mill cavalier, and had been brokered. I don't believe that a puppy mill pup from the US can as easily be registered because they often use unusual registries that aren't approved by CKCSC. Myra
