The phrase "cook many cooks spoils the broth" springs to mind.VBG
Surely the Board (committee) is elected to run the club on behalf of the
general membership? This I would have thought included making the choice of
judges. I presume that the membership if they are so inclined can make
suggestions as to whom the board should consider.
Sending voting papers out to the general membership in my limited experience
usually gets a poor response a)because of apathy b) because the persons on
the list are unknown c) names are ticked just for the sake of ticking them
VBG. Of course there are always those eager beavers who wish to be involved
in all aspects - surely the way for them to do that is to put themselves
forward for nomination when the board members are re elected.
