It's amazing the things you hear when you stand in a crowd. And, I have been approached by acquaintences who mean well, and seem to broach the tail subject with me to see how i feel about it. Mcgwire holds his tail not just high, but up, over and draped over his back like a shawl... His tail set is correct, his tail is "too long" it drags on the floor behind him. In motion it is draped, standing still, it's level and flowing very nicely. It might be too heavy to carry level or he is rather proud and excited, and still young, when I run with him, and get some of the energy out, it is much better. I can give him a "tail" command, and he now puts it correct for me. I just have to figure out how to tell him that while in motion in such a way he doesn't stop to see what i am saying? ;) I would never "out" anyone. Much of what we come across is hearsay, or even in the case of someone telling me I could dock his tail because it is a bit long, and he will have less to try to carry. He is 18 months old and happy as a clam, so I would never cause him physical discomfort over something like that.
