Ok, I am just trying to understand the rules, so please explain.

I am currently in search of a nice show bitch, and had wanted to purchase a puppy that
could be shown at old club specialties as well as AKC events. PS....if anyone has any
good leads feel free to e mail me (very big grin!!!!)

Since I am a professional handler with 28 years experience, I will of course, attend
mostly AKC events. (I won the Breed in Rottweilers at Westminster this year and
travel quite a bit). But......I am always open to new horizons. I have never been
to an old club show (since I own 3 AKC registered Cavaliers and they couldn't be
shown, and I hate to sit and not show something, and only owner handlers are allowed
to show) but I thought if I could purchase a nice bitch from a reputable breeder that
was dual registered, that I could show in both venues and would have the option to
breed that dual registered bitch to a nice dog with good clearances, no matter what
the registering body.

However, it was explained to me that while I could purchase a dual registered dog and
show it at old club specialties, as well as purchase a beautiful import dog/register
it CKCSC and AKC and show it there, I could NEVER be allowed to join the club because
I had bred AKC registered stock and I could NEVER breed even a dual registered
cavalier to anyone that was a member of CKCSC because I have bred an AKC litter in the
past.

If this rule is correct, it is important that I understand it correctly. I am sorry
to continue the thread and this is the last post I will put out on the subject, but I
really need to understand the rules.

Thanks for your patience. One of the reasons I continue receiving this digest is for
learning new things.

PS....I love my Cavaliers no matter where they are registered. They all sleep on the
bed the same. :0)
